Pick Your Own Chicken Eggs

Pick Your Own Chicken Eggs is a special farm visit where visitors meet our chickens, get to  hold a chicken, collect eggs from the nest boxes in the chicken coop, and take a dozen of our fresh eggs home with them. The Pick Your Own Chicken Eggs visit lasts about 1 hour.

Cost: $10 for the first person (which includes a dozen eggs), $2.00 for each additional person in the group.

Group Size Limit: Maximum 6 people per group.

Attendees must be age 5 or older.  Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian.  (Additional eggs may be purchased for $4 per dozen.)  A fresh egg carton will be provided for your eggs.

Schedule:  We schedule only one Pick Your Own Chicken Eggs group per day to help ensure there will be a sufficient number of eggs to collect.  Some hens lay in the morning, others in the afternoon.  We can schedule a time for your visit between late morning and mid-afternoon on a weekday or weekend.  In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule.

Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available. Sorry, there are no public restrooms.

*** Our hens molt in the fall and grow new feathers for the winter season. As a result, their egg production slows as they put energy into producing new feathers. In addition, hens need at least 14 hours of light a day to stimulate egg production. We recommend scheduling your visit to collect eggs from February through September.
